Play table tennis in Nailsworth and raise money for Christian Aid
Stroud District > Sport > Table Tennis

You can get some very good sequels whether it be films, books or sporting events and hopes are certainly high around Nailsworth that their pingpongathon is as successful this year as it was last.
The event on Saturday 11th May is the brainchild of the Rev Stuart Radford, who lives in Nailsworth and is a keen table tennis player himself.
He has been dubbed the Ping Pong Priest – “It would be even better if I was from Painswick,” he laughed – and he is certainly hoping to match last year’s inaugural event which raised more than £700 for Christian Aid.
The 2019 pingpongathon will take place on tables at Sawyer Hall at Christ Church in Nailsworth and will see table tennis being played continuously from 9am until 9pm.
“We are looking for groups of at least two who will play table tennis for one hour,” said Rev Radford.
“The entry fee is a donation per person to Christian Aid and there will also be a coffee morning, light lunches and afternoon tea.”
Rev Radford plays table tennis every Friday evening in Nailsworth, and close on 80 people took part in last year’s charity event.
“There were 56 adults and 22 youngsters ranging in age from four to 83,” he said.
