Cheltenham League new boys Mickleton Rangers have taken Division One by storm over the past nine months and they are already looking ahead to the next campaign with optimism.

They will be playing in the Premier Division in 2026/27 after going unbeaten in the league campaign just ended.

“We were very pleased about that,” said manager Jack Hardwidge. “We won the League Cup as well.”

They beat big rivals Shurdington Rovers 4-0 in the Minor Charities Cup with two goals apiece from Tom Carwardine and Oliver Miller, a win which came less than a month after Shurdington had beaten them 3-1 in the final of the GFA Minor Cup North.

Shurdington will also be playing in the Premier Division next season and Hardwidge is looking forward to locking horns with them again.

“We want to keep on improving," he said. "The aim is to be champions again next season.

“The players have shown a lot of character, they’ve kept pulling through when it matters.”
