Author: Roger Jackson, Posted: Thursday, 20th June 2019, 10:30
Forest Green Rovers will launch their 2019/20 League Two campaign at home to Oldham Athletic on Saturday 3rd August.
The fixtures were released today and their first away trip is to Walsall seven days later.
Rovers host Newport County on Saturday 31st August and four weeks later on Saturday 28th September they travel to play Salford City, the club which is part owned by former Manchester United stars Gary Neville, David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and Phil Neville. Salford visit the New Lawn on Saturday 18th January.
Mark Cooper’s men travel to Cheltenham Town on Saturday 2nd November – the return fixture at the New Lawn is on Saturday 28th March – and they host Swindon just before Christmas on Saturday 21st December.
Rovers must travel to Stevenage on Boxing Day so their fans will be pleased that the club have two games either side of the new year festivities with Macclesfield the visitors on Sunday 29th December and Exeter making the trip up the M5 on New Year’s Day.
Their final home game is against Cambridge United on Saturday 18th April and they complete their league campaign seven days later at Colchester.Copyright © 2024 The Local Answer Limited.
