Tewkesbury Town begin their quest for back-to-back Cheltenham League Senior Charity Cup final wins at Malvern Vale tomorrow.
And last season’s success at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium will certainly still be fresh in the minds of many of their players and supporters.
That’s because they overcame the Division One champions Andoversford, who are now top of Northern Senior League Division Two, in thrilling style, winning a penalty shootout after the game had ended 2-2 in normal time.
Goalkeeper Andy Pepperell was Tewkesbury’s hero last April because as well as saving two of Andoversford’s penalties, he also scored one in the dramatic 6-5 shootout win.
