These are happy days for Smiths Barometrics Athletic’s two Cheltenham League teams. The club’s reserves sit proudly on top of Division Two while the 3rds are going equally well in Division Three, three points clear of their nearest challengers. The reserves currently enjoy a four-point lead over second-placed Prestbury Rovers Reserves and will be hopeful of at least maintaining that advantage after the weekend even though visiting St Paul’s United, currently in third, will certain be no pushovers.Barometrics’ 3rds, meanwhile, also face a tough task because they travel to second-placed Cheltenham United, who have played one more game than the leaders.Barometrics’ flagship team play in Division Two of the Northern Senior League. There are also a host of County Cup games this weekend with the Cheltenham League teams competing in the third round of the Primary, Intermediate, Minor and Junior cups.Saturday’s fixturesDivision 1Malvern Vale FC First v Prestbury Rovers FirstDowty Dynamos First v Bredon ReservesHanley Swan First v AFC Renegades FirstNewton First v Whaddon United FirstShurdington Rovers First v Tewkesbury Town FirstSouthside Star FC First v Kings FirstDivision 2Andoversford (Saturday) Res v Gala Wilton ReservesLeckhampton Rovers First v Brockworth Albion ReservesPrestbury Rovers Reserves v Pittville United FirstSmiths Barometrics Ath Res v St Paul’s United FirstWelland Reserves v Fintan FirstDivision 3Cheltenham United First v Smiths Barometrics Athletic 3rdsFalcons Reserves v Southside Star FC ReservesTewkesbury Town Reserves v Cheltenham Civil Service (Saturday) 3rdWorcester City Royals FC v Malvern Vale FC ReservesDivision 4AFC Renegades Reserves v Winchcombe Town ReservesCharlton Rovers Third v Woodmancote United FirstCheltenham Saracens Thirds v Pittville United ReservesFintan Reserves v Tewkesbury Athletic FirstGala Wilton A v Kempsey Corinthians FC FirstsGFA Primary CupAFC Cheltenham First v Cashes Green (Firsts)Apperley 1st v Rodborough and Cainscross Old B (Thirds)Bishop’s Cleeve FC Devel v Tuffley Rovers (5ths)GFA Junior CupCheltenham Civil Service Res v Huntley (Firsts)Tibberton United (Firsts) v Bishop’s Cleeve FC AGFA Minor CupKingsway Rovers (Reserves) v Charlton Rovers ReservesSoudley (Firsts) v FC Lakeside ReservesGFA Intermediate CupWindyridge Rovers First v Hempstead FirstHorsley United (Firsts) v Prestbury Rovers ReservesCopyright © 2024 The Local Answer Limited.
