Double delight for Smiths Barometrics Athletic in Cheltenham League PLUS Saturday’s fixtures

These are happy days for Smiths Barometrics Athletic’s two Cheltenham League teams.

The club’s reserves sit proudly on top of Division Two while the 3rds are going equally well in Division Three, three points clear of their nearest challengers.

The reserves currently enjoy a four-point lead over second-placed Prestbury Rovers Reserves and will be hopeful of at least maintaining that advantage after the weekend even though visiting St Paul’s United, currently in third, will certain be no pushovers.

Barometrics’ 3rds, meanwhile, also face a tough task because they travel to second-placed Cheltenham United, who have played one more game than the leaders.

Barometrics’ flagship team play in Division Two of the Northern Senior League.

There are also a host of County Cup games this weekend with the Cheltenham League teams competing in the third round of the Primary, Intermediate, Minor and Junior cups.
