Bishop’s Cleeve A head to Whaddon United on Saturday hoping to end the only unbeaten record in Division One of the Cheltenham League ahead of the Christmas break.
Whaddon have won five and drawn one of their six games so far, a run that has lifted them up to third place and with games in hand on the two teams above them, Malvern Vale and Tewkesbury Town.
Bishop’s Cleeve, meanwhile, will go into the game in confident mood on the back of a 5-4 win at AFC Renegades, a game that saw Rob Reid score two and Ciaren Bowden, James Barnes and Mike Thurlowe all get one apiece.
That win saw Cleeve jump up to ninth in the 14-strong division having won three and drawn one of their six league games.
Eleswhere, in-form Kings will be hoping to take closer order at the top as they travel to Shurdington Rovers.
Kings are well placed in the top four, having won four and drawn two of their eight games, the most recent a 2-1 win over leaders Malvern Vale thanks to goals by Paul Scales and substitute Joe Griffiths.
