Cheltenham Football League set for grandstand finish to the season
Author: Roger Jackson, Posted: Friday, 5th April 2019, 16:20
The Cheltenham League is gearing up for another end-of-season thriller with the games coming thick and fast.
Now that the clocks have gone forward there are midweek games aplenty and there’s all to play for with titles, a cup and places in the promotion play-offs still up for grabs.
And for a good number of teams there is also the small matter of trying to avoid relegation.
Long-time Division One leaders Andoversford still have work to do to claim the title – they are being pushed all the way by Cheltenham Civil Service Reserves and Upton Town.
They host Kings on Saturday and it’s a busy few days for the club because on Thursday they play Bredon Reserves in the semi-final of the Senior Charity Cup at Bishop’s Cleeve.
The second semi-final between Brockworth Albion Reserves and Tewkesbury Town will also be played at Kayte Lane, on Thursday 18th April (7pm).
The final will be played at Cheltenham Town on Thursday 9th May (7pm).
