Cheltenham League Senior Charity Cup draw and Saturday’s fixtures
Author: Roger Jackson, Posted: Friday, 22nd February 2019, 09:40
Paul Bennett’s heroics in the previous round of the Cheltenham League’s Senior Charity Cup have earned his side a home tie in the quarter-finals.
The draw was made earlier this week and Kings will host Brockworth Albion Reserves.
Goalkeeper Bennett headed a late equaliser in the 2-2 draw with FC Barometrics Reserves on Saturday, and then saved two penalties in the subsequent shootout to help his side through to the last eight.
Brockworth, meanwhile, produced an excellent result to defeat high-flying Division One side Bishop’s Cleeve A 1-0.
Elsewhere, Division One leaders Andoversford travel to Southside Star while there is a mouthwatering clash at Tewkesbury Town where Upton Town are the visitors.
Full draw: Bredon Res v Hanley Swan (to be played 16th March); Southside Star FC v Andoversford (16th March); Tewkesbury Town v Upton Town (23rd March); Brockworth Albion Res v Kings FC (23rd March).
