Frampton United were beaten 1-0 by Thornbury Town in the Les James League Cup final on Saturday.
They were defeated by the runaway County League champions Thornbury Town, who thus completed the double.
Frampton travel to AEK Boco for their final league game of the season on Thursday when a win will guarantee them a third-placed finish, after finishing second last time out.
Fourth-placed Stonehouse Town, who are two points behind Frampton, could still pip them if results work in their favour. Their final game is at Rockleaze Rangers, also on Thursday.
Broadwell Amateurs, meanwhile, completed their campaign with a 2-2 draw at home to Henbury on Saturday, a result that means they finish the season in sixth.
Ruardean Hill Rangers ended the campaign three points and three places below Broadwell after winning 2-0 at Kingswood on Saturday despite ending the game with only nine men.
Luke Johnson put them ahead early on in the first half and Luke Brown added a second five minutes from time.
By then they had lost Bobby Walding after he received two yellow cards and Matt Barnard was also dismissed just before the final whistle after he, too, was shown two yellow cards.Copyright © 2024 The Local Answer Limited.
