Bournside School’s footballers are top of the class

Bournside’s boys are putting their best feet forward when it comes to football.
The Cheltenham school’s Year 9 team are certainly one step ahead of the rest as they have just won the Cheltenham and District Schools’ title for the third year in a row, having won it in Year 7 and Year 8 as well.
They won the Year 9 title with a 4-2 win over Balcarras School. Two of the goals were scored by Toby Soule, and there was one each for Connor Stalley and George Cuzner.
Bournside now go on to play the winners of either the Gloucester, Forest or Stroud district in a bid to get to the county final in Bristol.
It’s been a good season for Bournside because the team also had a good run in the National Cup before going out in the last 64.
