In-form Frampton United are climbing up the County League

Frampton United are tucked in nicely in the congested mid-table of the County League, but with games in hand on five of the seven teams above them, they have power to add.
They made it seven wins from 11 games – they have also drawn one – with a 2-0 win at Wick, who they have now pulled level with on 22 points.
Frampton had to wait until the 45th minute for their first goal when Kris Bulley gave them the lead and they added to their advantage on the hour mark when Manolo Marquez Espada fired a low shot under keeper Tyler Edmonds.
Third-placed Hardwicke are another team who are going well and they were too strong for bottom-of-the-table Hanham Athletic who they hammered 4-0.
The visitors took the lead on 20 minutes through a Mark Carter header and three minutes later it was two as Will Matthews got on the scoresheet. In the second half Jamie Fry went close on two occasions for the home side before a Steve Bick cross-shot made it 3-0 on 84 minutes. An own goal just before the final whistle completed the scoring.
Gala Wilton are continuing to find it tough going near the bottom and they were well beaten 4-1 at Little Stoke.
Sam Hill put the home side ahead after 12 minutes, Gala could have levelled before the break but Mark Edwards fired over the bar.
Edwards then set up Jack Jerimiah early in the second half, but he too fired over before Jessie Owens added a second for the home side.
Gala showed plenty of fight and pulled a goal back in the 65th minute when Sam Green headed home Ryan Dobbins’ corner.
That was as good as it got for Gala, however, as little Stoke wrapped up the points with goals by Sam Thomas and Kieran Williams.
Stonehouse Town are out of the GFA Challenge Trophy after going down 2-1 at Toolstation League Premier Division side Cadbury Heath in the third round although they put up a good show against a side two divisions above them.
The visitors started brightly, but it was the home side who took the lead on 12 minutes when Sasha Tong headed home from a free-kick. Liam Gale went close following a Tim Williams’ free-kick for the visitors on 28 minutes before Heath went 2-0 up on 52 minutes with a fantastic strike from Matt Huxley.
Stonehouse refused to buckle, however, and hit back on 67 minutes when Dan Stephens rose above the home defence to head home. In the closing minutes Stephens almost levelled but his effort went just past the post.
