Tickets selling fast for Gloucestershire’s Vitality Blast quarter-final tie with Derbyshire

Gloucestershire certainly won’t be short of support for their big Vitality Blast quarter-final tie with Derbyshire at Bristol on Saturday.

The game gets under way at 7pm – it’s the last of the four quarter-finals – with county bosses reporting that there are only “limited tickets remaining” for the eagerly awaited showdown.

Michael Klinger’s men booked their place in the last eight with a four-game winning run which also catapulted them into second place in South Group behind Sussex which in turn earned them a home quarter-final tie.

Derbyshire, meanwhile, finished third in North Group but although they lost five of their 14 group games they will certainly be no pushovers.

Gloucestershire, for all their excellence in one-day cricket over the years, have never won this competition although they’ve reached the last eight three times in recent years.

Essex last night booked their place at finals day at Edgbaston on Saturday 21st September when they beat Lancashire by six wickets. The two other quarter-finals see Nottinghamshire host Middlesex today and Worcestershire travel to Sussex tomorrow.
