Hatherley and Reddings Under-16s

Hatherley and Reddings saw off Rockhampton and then Golden Hill to clinch the Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation’s Under-16 T20 Performance title on finals day at Chipping Sodbury.

Harrison Tegg (54 retired) and Henry Bloomfield (49) powered Hatherley to an imposing 224-6 in the semi-final against Rockhampton, who were then pegged back to 127-7 by Joe Tutty (3-14 from four).

It also appeared that the final was going to be one-way traffic after Golden Hill were dismissed for just 70, Isaac Ewles (3-10) and Tutty (3-13) inflicting the damage.

But after an assured start with Henry Driver-Dickerson hitting 17, Hatherley folded from 36-1 to 46-6 and there was plenty of relief when a nervous three-wicket victory was eventually secured in the 15th over as Golden Hill sent down their 15th wide of the innings.
