Fancy a night out with Gloucestershire great Mike Procter?
Author: Roger Jackson, Posted: Tuesday, 25th July 2017, 13:20
Ever wanted to know who Mike Procter’s most feared opponent was, or the player he enjoyed playing with most, or the best captain he played under?
Well, if you do, you could have all those questions and maybe more answered at an evening with the great man at the start of next month.
‘An Evening with Mike Procter’ takes place at the Memorial Stadium in Bristol, the home of Bristol Rovers Football Club, on Tuesday 1st August (7pm) and will feature a Q&A session with one of the best all-rounders ever to pull on a pair of whites.
There will also be an auction of cricket memorabilia and the Gloucestershire great will be signing copies of his new book ‘Caught in The Middle’.
Joining Procter at the dinner will be Bristol Rovers legend Harold Jarman, 78, who also doubled up as a cricketer for Gloucestershire back in the days when it was still possible to make a living out of both sports.
Tickets are £40 per head or £375 for a table of 10 and include a two-course dinner, full bar facilities and tea and coffee.
All profits from the evening will go to the Mike Procter Foundation which brings sport and education to disadvantaged young people in the townships around Durban in South Africa.
For tickets, call Roger Cooper on 07767 643600 or email roger.cooper@bristolroverspresidentsclub.com.Copyright © 2024 The Local Answer Limited.
