Ben Tegg and Scott Tremain star in Dumbleton win

Ben Tegg and skipper Scott Tremain shared an opening stand of 218 as Dumbleton chased down a target of 269 to win by seven wickets at Cheltenham Civil Service in the WEPL’s Gloucestershire Division.
Tegg was dismissed for 129 (15 fours, three sixes) while Tremain guided his side home with an unbeaten 93 (12 fours, one six) with nine overs to spare.
Frocester 2nds remain top courtesy of a five-run home success against Tewkesbury while second-placed Cirencester overwhelmed Stroud by 98 runs, Billy Breen (5-43) and Simon Rowe (3-38) the heroes.
Louis Hamilton’s burst of 4-45 could not save Apperley from a two-wicket defeat at Corse and Staunton while skipper Charlie Garratt’s 109 and Ben Hughes’ 5-18 saw Bourton Vale to an 18-run victory at Chipping Sodbury.
Cheltenham, meanwhile, emerged five-wicket victors with a ball to spare in the big derby clash in Premier Two Glos/Wilts away to Gloucester City Winget.
Alex Nel (65) top scored in Winget’s challenge of 225, George Pritchard capturing 4-26 from 10, before opener Jeremy Duncan (66) and Pete Woodland (49) dominated the visitors’ reply.
Guy Brothwood hit 74 and claimed 4-25 as Rockhampton overcame Hatherley and Reddings by 98 runs.
In Premier One, there was a first win for Bedminster who rallied from a shaky situation to inflict a four-wicket defeat on Bristol.
Needing 250, Bedminster were in trouble at 76-4 before Sai Kamuni (85) and former Gloucestershire star Rob Cunliffe (58 not) turned the game with a stand of 119.
Opener James Bracey earlier dominated Bristol’s innings with 106 from 117 balls (15 fours, three sixes).
Downend scored 354 at home to champions Bath but still lost by 22 runs.
Gloucestershire’s George Hankins hit 112 in his side’s 376-6 before Ollie Pringle (93) and county star Ian Cockbain (57) gave Downend early hope ahead of late assaults from Dan Lezar (69 from 37 balls) and No 10 Phil Jackson (41 from 17).
Frocester were 114-run winners at newcomers Lechlade, Ross Martin thumping 176 and skipper Nick Trainor 103.
Captain George Ford, the leading wicket taker in WEPL, finished with 3-46 as Bristol and North Somerset leaders Winterbourne trumped Brislington by 58 runs.
Stapleton continued their fine form to stay second, completing a 96-run win away to Bath 2nds with half-centuries from skipper Chris Phillips, opener Danny Chard and Oli Sharp.
Knowle moved out of the bottom two thanks to a second successive win, overcoming Old Bristolians Westbury while Bristol 2nds were 66-run victors at Pak Bristolians.
