The RHS and The King’s Foundation Curious Garden included the new Sir David Beckham rose, which was launched at RHS Chelsea on Monday 18th May 2026.
A new English shrub rose, created to celebrate Sir David Beckham's 50th birthday, has been unveiled at RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
The gift, from his daughter Harper, was created by a team of specialists at David Austin Roses to reflect his love of nature which has grown since he bought a home in the Cotswolds.
The white Sir David Beckham rose was revealed as part of his feature garden which he has been working on together with King Charles III and Alan Titchmarsh.
The RHS and The King’s Foundation Curious Garden, designed by Frances Tophill, includes the new rose along with delphiniums inspired by The King's favourite flowers at his garden in Highgrove near Tetbury.
In a post on Instagram, David said it was an honour to receive the rose as a special gift.
RHS Chelsea Flower Show has proved to be a great showcase for a number of Gloucestershire firms including Rupert Till wire sculptures from Winchcombe and Mark Round with his striking chess piece salt and pepper mills from Stroud.
Pete Barklem, from Nailsworth, was also exhibiting at the show to highlight the work of his late mother's Brambly Hedge artwork.
Florist Millie Richardson, who lives near Burford, recreated Jill Barklem's floral wedding arch from her Brambly Hedge Summer Story.
Her display in the Floral Marquee, as well as the entrance to the showground's Bullring Gate, is a warm-up for RHS Badminton Flower Show in July, when she'll be using foliage from the Badminton Estate to create giant RHS letters to welcome visitors to the new show.
Pete said: "For us, the display is about respecting nature through the seasons and slow living."
Cheltenham's Jade Holland Cooper had her first ever stand at RHS Chelsea.
Her Holland Cooper Clothing pop-up boutique revealed her new home and garden collection for the first time.
