Congratulations are in order for the team at Café René as they celebrate 15 years of food, drink and fun in Gloucester.
 
Widely known as Gloucester’s best kept secret, the pub turned 15 on Sunday 1st April but, due to the Bank Holiday weekend, their birthday party took place on Thursday 5th April.
 
To mark this special occasion, they hosted an evening of entertainment with a circus theme – Cirque du René as they named it! There were hot dogs and popcorn, stilt walkers, mix ’n‘ mingle magic, music from DJ Ringmaster Lyle, a photo booth and some fantastic fancy dress costumes.
 
It certainly was a wonderful night and one to remember!
 
Owner Paul Soden was delighted with the support from regular customers and other Gloucester locals who joined in the celebrations. General Manager Kieron Bates was similarly pleased, saying: “It’s rewarding to see so many friends enjoying the occasion with Paul and the whole Café René team.
