Fresh energy and creativity is being poured into Dumbleton Hall ahead of the launch of a new fine dining experience.
The historic Grade II* former country manor has recently reopened after a major two-year refurbishment.
It's put elegance at the heart of a new look with antique furnishings, William Morris prints and wallpaper featuring animal prints and leafy palms.
The drawing room, library bar, and pheasant lounge have all put a focus on original log-burning fireplaces, while each of the 34 bedrooms and suites have new individual designs with a mix of floral wallpapers, greens, earthy tones, and framed bird illustrations.
With the new look revealed, attention is now on the The Orangerie which is set to open in August 2026.
When complete, the intimate fine-dining restaurant will serve an innovative tasting menu, from an open kitchen.
It will sit alongside the hotel’s main restaurant, Cedar 1905, which is framed by views of the estate’s cedar trees.
Diners can enjoy moody lighting, plush velvets and open fireplaces in the pheasant lounge before or after dinner in an atmosphere which aims to recapture the glamour of the 1920s.
Owner of the hotel, Paul Vezolles, said: "Dumbleton Hall has been carefully restored to embody the charm of quintessential English elegance.
"Guests are invited to step back into the golden age of the manor house and become part of its unfolding story.
"We hope they feel inspired by the hall’s rich heritage while enjoying exceptional Cotswolds cuisine and the beauty of the surrounding countryside.”
Located near Winchcombe, the hotel sits within a 16-acre estate, with a lake and walled gardens.
Built in 1830, Dumbleton Hall has hosted Charles Darwin, Charles Dickens, the Mitford sisters and John Betjeman.
Rates start from £380 per night based on a B&B basis for two people.
