Mindhunter
The criminal profiling drama returned for a second series on Friday 16th August.
Directed by Oscar-nominated director David Fincher, Mindhunter sees FBI agents Holden Ford and Bill Tench (Johnathan Groff and Holt McCallanay) attempt to understand and catch serial killers by interviewing them, getting into their minds and seeing how they think.
The first series of ‘Mindhunter’ was given an overall IMDB rating of 8.5 so judging by that, the second series is certainly something to look out for.
Power
September sees ‘Power’ return for its sixth series.
The show, which started back in 2014, is about James ‘Ghost’ St Patrick (Omari Hardwick) trying to get himself out of the drug game and into a legitimate life with his family.
The end of the last series left the future of one major character very much in doubt and the things that Ghost holds dearest to him are facing new threats.
It has been revealed that series six will be the last for ‘Power’ and it’s going to contain 15 episodes airing weekly from Monday 26th August.
Disenchantment
'The Simpsons' creator Matt Groening’s animated fantasy comedy will return for a second series.
10 brand new episodes will be available on Netflix from Friday 20th September.
The show follows the story of Bean (voiced by Abbi Jacobson), a rebellious and alcoholic princess and her adventures in the medieval kingdom of Dreamland.
Thirteen Reasons Why
The controversial teen suicide drama is back for a third series.
The show, which has also been confirmed for a fourth – and final – series, is to return on Friday 23rd August.
The show focuses on some dark issues facing teenagers today and can be hard to watch at times.Top Boy
Netflix are rebooting the cult show that was on Channel 4 six years ago.
Top Boy, starring Ashley Walters as main character Dushane, had two series on Channel 4 between 2011 and 2013.
Now, the show is returning for a third series on Netflix after rapper Drake apparently offered to fund it, after seeing episodes on YouTube and being ‘drawn in by the human element’.
The series, which is about life on a London council estate, is coming to Netflix at some point this autumn.Copyright © 2024 The Local Answer Limited.
