Fans of the arts are in for a treat this weekend as Café René in Gloucester hosts its annual Renegade festival.

From 2pm on Saturday 25th April, there'll be live music on an outdoor stage with seven acts performing throughout the day.

Acts include BBC Music Introducing stars Truck, Grove, Johnnie Darko, Kayco', Technicolour Steam Train, Kid Hyena and Captain Gas.

In the evening, DJ sets in the pub on Southgate Street, will keep the party vibe going.

A Renegade lager has been specially brewed for the occasion and there'll be a sizzling barbecue, too.

Burger fans can battle it out to be crowned burger eating champion of the year in a competition that starts at 4.45pm. Passionate burger fans can sign up on the day, if the appetite grabs them!  

Alongside tunes and food, festival fans can browse a craft market showcasing independent artists including Key To The Attic with a range of vintage jewellery and clothing.

Visitors can get involved in a host of creative workshops, too.
