With hundreds of events being cancelled around the county and nationwide, and many people staying at home in efforts to self-isolate, it’s safe to say we could all use some entertainment right now.
And so Wychwood Festival’s much-loved house band Thrill Collins have come up with a plan to help brighten up an evening.
They will be hosting a simultaneous virtual house party this Friday 20th March from 8pm.
The band, which is made up of lead singer and guitarist Robbie Pert, double bassist Andrew Lansley and cajón player Peter Harper, will be live streaming a show from one of their houses.
“We wanted to have a good old knees-up,” said Robbie, “and use the evening to bring everyone together with a shared sense of community and a love of 12- minute garage medleys.
“After all, global pandemics should not be a barrier to responsible partying.”
The band have partnered with their charities Coppafeel, Youth Music and Reverse Retts to raise awareness and funds in the spirit of shared isolation.
The show will be broadcast on the Thrill Collins Instagram, Facebook and YouTube pages (links below), and for more information visit www.facebook.com/events/724932234578704/
