Bonfire Night in Gloucestershire is always a big event, and as we head into November there’s plenty of displays going on around the county.

Here’s our roundup of some of the best events to go to in Gloucestershire for some firework fun, from the big displays to smaller local celebrations.

 

Cheltenham

Fairview Fireworks Party, 2nd November

Cheltenham Cricket Club will be playing host to the Fairview Fireworks Party, with music, food, fairground stalls and an after party all on the agenda. All proceeds will be going to Cobalt Health, Fairview School and Cheltenham Cricket Club.

Cheltenham Racecourse, 3rd November

The counties’ biggest and most popular Bonfire Night event is back at Cheltenham Racecourse, with all the usual food, fairground attractions and stunning fireworks display.

St. Edward's School Bonfire & Fireworks Display, 3rd November

St Edwards School in Charlton Kings will be holding their own Bonfire Night, complete with both a firework display and a bonfire, as well as stalls, hotdogs and rides for smaller children.

CACSSA Firework Display, 4th November

The Cotswold Area Civil Service Sports Association are hosting their annual fireworks display, with food, drink, rides, a resident DJ and more!

Burley Fields Firework Display, 10th November

Burley Fields in Leckhampton will play host to an unforgettable Bonfire Night, with a professional display by Sandling Fireworks. There’ll also be a disco, fun fair, and plenty of food and drink including a hog roast and licensed bar.

 

Gloucester

Coney Hill Rugby Club Fireworks Display, 4th November

After a successful first year in 2017, Coney Hill RFC and Coney Hill Primary School are teaming up again to host their own fireworks night, complete with fairground attractions.

Longlevens RFC Fireworks Night, 4th November

There’s going to be a fairground, barbeque, stalls and a disco at Longlevens RFC, as well as the spectacular firework display to top it all off.

Walls Club Family Firework Night, 5th November

Walls Club in Barnwood are hosting their own night, with a professional display from Chase Lane Fireworks.

Gloucester Quays Fireworks Display, 8th November

After a year off last year, the Gloucester Round Table will once again be holding their huge fireworks display at the Gloucester Quays. Expect live music, a funfair and plenty of food and drink stalls.

Gordon League RFC Firework Display, 9th November

There’ll be stalls, a barbeque and a licensed bar at Gordon League RFC’s firework display in Gloucester.

 

Cotswolds

Birdlip Bonfire Night Fireworks, 2nd November

Cotswold Fireworks Company will be putting on the annual display at Birdlip Primary School. There’ll also be a bonfire with a Guy Fawkes made by the children of the school, as well as plenty of food and drink on offer.

Fairford Fireworks, 3rd November

Organised jointly by Fairford School, the Parent Teacher Association and Fairford RFC, there will be a bonfire and fireworks show at Fairford Park.

Cirencester Fireworks Display, 3rd November

There will be fireworks, a bonfire, fairground rides, sparklers and more at the Victoria Road Playing Fields, arranged by the Cirencester Round Table.

Tetbury Firework Display and Guy Fawkes Celebration, 3rd November

Organised by the South Cotswold Rotary Club, the display at Sir William Romneys School in Tetbury will also have a “Best Guy” competition and a huge bonfire.

 

Gloucestershire North and South

FSC Fireworks Display & Bonfire at Moreton-in-Marsh, 1st November

The Fire Service College Mess Club hosts its annual charity bonfire, raising money for Cheltenham ICU and the Firefighters Charity. There’ll be hot food, drinks and fairground rides, as well as the fireworks.

Tewkesbury Rotary Club Firework Display, 3rd November

The Vineyards Fields make for a great place to watch fireworks with Tewkesbury Abbey providing a stunning background. Entry is free, and the Tewkesbury Rotary Club will be raising money for local causes.

Minchinhampton Fireworks Night, 3rd November

Minchinhampton School are celebrating their 150-year anniversary with a bonfire and special fireworks display. There will be a barbeque and a bar with proceeds going to a good cause.

Wotton-under-Edge Firework Display, 3rd November

Held by the Wotton Round Table, there will be two separate firework displays at Wotton Community PARC, one with less loud bangs for smaller children and then a bigger display later on.

Dursley Fireworks, 3rd November

Girlguiding Dursley District will be hosting the Dursley Fireworks for the third successive year, with all proceeds going to the Stroud District Foodbank.

Chalford Hill Bonfire Night & Fireworks Display, 4th November

Hosted by Chalford Hill Primary School, there will be a giant bonfire and an extravagant firework display, with barbeque, toffee apples and candyfloss all on the menu.

Leonard Stanley Bonfire Night, 8th November

Leonard Stanley Primary School in Stonehouse are hosting their own Bonfire Night, with hot food, drink and sweets on offer, and all proceeds going towards helping the school.

 

As always when it comes to Bonfire Night and firework displays, remember to wrap up warm and stay safe, especially when handling sparklers.
