If you’ve ever wondered if that old vase or collection of 1980s football stickers gathering dust up in the attic might be worth anything, an event this weekend may be for you.
A charity antique valuation is taking place at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice for people keen to find out more about the antique objects they own, raising vital funds for the charity.
Elizabeth Poole FRICS and Lindsey Braun BA FRICS, both auctioneers at Cotswold Auction Company, will be on hand to give expert valuations in return for a donation to the hospice at the event, which has been arranged by hospice volunteer, Paulette Vallois.
Taking place between 1pm and 4pm on Saturday 12th October in the day hospice at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, valuations will be available on silver, jewellery, ceramics, glass, paintings, collectables and toys at a suggested donation of £5 per item or £10 for three items.
There will also be delicious cake and refreshments available, with all proceeds helping the hospices expert nursing, medical and care teams be there when it matters for local families.
Organiser Paulette, said: “I hope lots of people will come along to our very own ‘Antiques Roadshow’ and bring anything they want to get valued. You might be surprised by what you own!
“It’s a fun way to help raise funds for the hospice and find out more about objects which might have been in your family for generations, while supporting local families who need expert and compassionate palliative care.”
