The first half term break of 2020 is upon us, and parents across the county will be looking for ways to entertain the kids.
So to try and help out, we’ve put together a guide of some of the best events and activities going on over the next week around Gloucestershire.
Gloucester
Make your own Marionette Workshop, Wednesday 19th February
Learn how to make a working marionette using simple materials from artist Caroline McCatty.

Toadstool Nightlights, Tuesday 18th February
Make your very own light-up toadstool in the friendly learning space at the Holst Birthplace Museum.

Light Up Cheltenham, Saturday 15th to Sunday 23rd February
Explore Cheltenham as you’ve never seen it before, with some of the town’s most iconic building lit up, and get a bird’s eye view from the giant observation wheel.

South West Puddle Jumping Championships, Saturday 15th to Sunday 23rd February
Get your wellies and waterproofs on and jump into the puddles for a chance to be the ultimate splasher. Take part in the daily puddle jumping competition at 2pm in Welly Boot Land, with a chance to win a prize.

Endangered and Extinct Museum I Spy Trail, Saturday 15th to Sunday 23rd February
Created by local writer, illustrator and cartoonist Bill Jones, the I Spy Trail is a chance for children to find the creatures hidden around the Museum in the Park.

Fun with sticks, Monday 17th to Friday 21st February
Enjoy the outdoors and try your hand at making charcoal, create winter twig shadow drawings and print with sticks at Westonbirt Arboretum.

Completing the trail of puzzles, codes and riddles to solve the mystery and spell out a password, which can be used back at the Visitor Centre to win a small surprise.
