The popular Light Up Cheltenham returns next month, and will see some of the town’s most iconic buildings bathed in coloured lights.

And a new specially curated guided tour is set to reveal some of the town’s lesser known stories.

Listed buildings like the Queens Hotel and The Ivy Brasserie will be just two of over 30 buildings lit, and the former will be the starting point of the new tour.

For the first time during this event, visitors will be able to join a professionally-led guided tour to find out the interesting history of some surprising locations including the buildings currently occupied by White Stuff and Pizza Express.

Tours run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from Saturday 1st February until Sunday 23rd February, and will be operated by local Blue Badge tourist guides in association with Marketing Cheltenham.

This year’s Light Up Cheltenham will also see the return of the ever popular observation wheel, and the launch event on Saturday 1st February, will witness the return of the incredible street-entertainment group, 'Spark!'.
