The Brewery Quarter will become home to Europe’s largest virtual golfing screen this summer when The Golf Rooms at Cineworld unveils its huge new spectator screen.

State-of-the-art golf simulators launched in March 2026, with four bays now open to sports fans to play on 450 virtual courses around the world.

By the time summer arrives, there will be nine bays in total including a huge new screen, measuring eight metres by four metres, surrounded with seating for 30 spectators, as well as putting greens that tilt to replicate the golf course.

It’s a bold new chapter for the former VIP Screening Rooms at Cineworld in Cheltenham, as they are transformed into a luxurious homage to golf.

The new leisure area includes TV screenings of live golf tournaments from around the globe, as well as a bar with relaxed lounge seating for watching the action or enjoying a catch up.

General manager and PGA advanced professional, Scott Margetts, said: “We’ve been running for three years in London and Cheltenham is our first site outside of the capital.

“What we offer is everything from championship level golf to arcade games. The scale and experience we offer is unique.

“We have created a space that has a good feel for friends and family as well as for corporate groups.”

The Golf Rooms at Cineworld is open from 10am to 10pm. A bay for up to four players costs £35 per hour at off-peak times, which includes Sundays from midday. It costs £50 an hour at peak times which includes all-day on Saturdays.
