LINC, the Cheltenham-based charity that cares for patients fighting cancer, is to hold a fundraising garden party on Tuesday 17th July in partnership with Maggie’s, a charity that offers free support to cancer patients and their families.
The event, which gets underway at 2:30pm, will be held in the garden of two patrons of LINC – Laurence and Jackie Llewelyn-Bowen. Claire Charlton, LINC’s Head of Fundraising, has been hard at work organising the event and is hopeful tickets will continue to be purchased in the weeks leading up to the event. She said: “We’re really excited to be hosting the garden party and are particularly grateful to Laurence and Jackie for so generously allowing us to host the event in their lovely gardens. Anyone wanting to attend can purchase tickets which are available from our website or people can purchase them from the LINC office or Maggie’s directly.
“We have live music, a magician as well as a fashion show and a number of stalls and shopping opportunities. Afternoon tea is included in the ticket price, with cakes, sandwiches and strawberries & cream for everyone to enjoy. We’ve been blown away by the generosity of local businesses who have very generously donated gifts and vouchers for our raffle and auction.
“John Gordons and Made by Bob will be in attendance and there will be a fashion show by Bodega at 3pm. There is going to be a lovely selection of pop ups from some of the Cotswold’s finest independent stallholders. It promises to be a fantastic afternoon.”
Live music will be provided by Delores, who once appeared on Michael McIntyre’s BBC 1 programme ‘The Big Show’. Gloucestershire magician Richard Parsons will also be in attendance, bringing his award-winning routine to the garden party.Copyright © 2024 The Local Answer Limited.
