2019 marks a very special year at Highgrove as it celebrates 25 years of the organic Royal Gardens at Highgrove being open to the public.

This celebration continues with the announcement of the inaugural ‘Talking Food’ event at Highgrove which will be held in October.

‘Talking Food’ will see some of the UK’s most progressive chefs and food producers participating in expert talks and presentations each day.

Christine Prescott, Chief Executive Officer at Highgrove Enterprises said “We are delighted to announce the inaugural ‘Talking Food’ at Highgrove in this very special 25th Anniversary year of the Royal Gardens being open to the public.

“Food provenance has become increasingly important with a real focus on the transparency of food origin and on seasonal produce. Our association with Waitrose and Partners and the fantastic guest speakers already confirmed ensures that we focus on this as we celebrate all things food during this very special event.”

A line up of guest speakers are confirmed including legendary chef Anton Mosimann OBE DL, Chef Patron of Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons Raymond Blanc OBE, Breton baker Richard Bertinet, organic gardening expert, author and broadcaster Jekka McVicar, farmer, author and television presenter Adam Henson and Michelin star chef Angela Hartnett MBE.

Each event will include a garden tour of the Royal Gardens at Highgrove incorporating either a two-course lunch or a champagne afternoon tea with the menu influenced by the guest chef of the day.

Experienced garden guides will bring guests on a fascinating garden walk revealing the history, inspiration and unique organic management behind these incredible gardens which will look stunning with full autumnal colours on display.

All profits from the event will be donated to The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Fund, a grant-making body which helps a wide range of causes, including projects in the built environment, young people and education, responsible enterprise and global sustainability.
