Remember remember the fifth of November – Bonfire Night is just a couple of weeks away.

Here in Gloucestershire we’ve got plenty of displays and events going on around the county, and we’ve put together a handy guide to help you find all the events going on in the area.


Cheltenham

Burley Fields Lakes Fireworks Night, Saturday 9th November
There will be a disco roadshow, pig roast, small fun fair with new rides, burgers, chips and licensed bar at Burley Fields Lakes, Leckhampton Lane, Cheltenham.

Gates open and the bonfire is lit at 5.30pm. There will be a Kids Show at 7pm and the Grand Finale at 8.30pm. Tickets are £5 in advance, £7 on the night and can be bought at Burley Fields Lakes Farm Shop, Sardar’s Cafe (Warden Hill) and Bargain Booze (Bath Road).


Fairview Fireworks Party, Friday 1st November
The gates open for this display at Cheltenham Cricket Club at 5pm, with a display at 6pm with no bangs for smaller children.

The main display kicks off at 7.30pm, and there will also be live music and food on offer.


Cheltenham Round Table Fireworks, Saturday 2nd November
One of the biggest displays in the South West, the fireworks at Cheltenham Racecourse will feature the usual funfair and selection of food stalls.

Gates open at 5pm with the fireworks starting at 7pm.


CACSSA Fireworks Display, Sunday 3rd November
Hosted by the Cotswold Area Civil Service Association, gates open for this display at 4.30pm.

There will be a selection of food and drink available to purchase, fairground rides and other activities, plus music from their resident DJ from 7pm until 10pm.


Gloucester

Churchdown Fireworks Extravaganza, Friday 1st November
From Catherine Wheels to rockets, Parton Road will be ablaze with colour for the night.

There will also be a funfair and the main display will begin at 7.15pm.


Charity Fireworks Display, Saturday 2nd November
Last year, this display at The Red Lion in Norton raised £2,485 for the Great Western Air Ambulance.

The evening begins at 5pm, with the display at 6.30pm and live music from 8pm.


Coney Hill RFC Fireworks Display, Sunday 3rd November
The annual display at Coney Hill RFC includes a BBQ, bar, fairground rides, stalls and live music.

The fun gets underway at 3pm, with the fireworks starting at 6pm.


Family Firework Night 2019, Tuesday 5th November
Generation Events Gloucestershire will be hosting this display at Walls Club in Barnwood, beginning at 5pm.

Alongside the spectacular display there will be food and drink on offer, as well as a special sing along with their very own Princess Elsa.


Stroud District

Five Valleys Fireworks, Monday 28th October
This annual event has been running for over 50 years, and in that time has raised around £250,000 for various charities.

BBC Radio Gloucestershire’s Mark Cummings will be doing the traditional fireworks countdown, with gates opening at 6pm and fireworks starting at 8pm.


Dursley Fireworks, Saturday 2nd November
Hosted by Girlguiding Dursley District, this display will have live entertainment, plenty of refreshments and a glow stick stall.

Gates open at 5pm and the fireworks start at 6pm, and there will be collections on the night to raise money for The Longfield Hospice.


Wotton Fireworks Display, Saturday 9th November
There will be fairground rides, a bonfire, food and drink stalls and more at this display at Wotton Community PARC.

The doors open at 5.30pm, with a quieter fireworks display at 6.30pm for smaller children, the bonfire lit at 6.45pm, and the main display getting underway at 7.15pm.


Bisley Fireworks Display, Saturday 9th November
Gates open for the annual display at St George’s Playing Field in Bisley at 5.30pm, and will feature a ‘New Glow Act’ at 6.15pm, with the fireworks kicking off at 7pm.

There will also be glow toys on sale, food and drink and music and entertainment.


Cotswolds

Far Peak Bonfire and Fireworks Night, Friday 1st November
Far Peak Climbing Centre’s Fireworks Night will run between 3pm and 8.30pm and will include a BBQ, fish and chips and plenty of other refreshments.

Along with the fireworks and bonfire, there will also be activities including a bouncy castle obstacle course and climbing wall.


Stow-on-the-Wold Fireworks, Friday 1st November
Taking place on the Queen Elizabeth II Field, this free event begins at 6pm, with the bonfire lit at 6.15pm.

There will be fairground rides, a bar, a pig roast and more.


Cirencester Fireworks 2019, Saturday 2nd November
Organised by the Cirencester Round Table, this display is one of the biggest in the county and will include a bonfire, fairground rides and local food vendors.

Gates open at 5pm, with a display for smaller children at 5.45pm, firelighting at 6pm and the main display at 7pm.


FSC Fireworks Display and Bonfire Night, Tuesday 5th November
The Fire Service College Mess Club will be hosting this free display, with donations being collected for local charities.

Opening at 6pm, there will be fairground rides and refreshments, a bonfire lit at 7pm and the fireworks at 7.30pm.


North Gloucestershire

Cattle Country Fireworks Night, Friday 27th October
Doors open for this display at 6pm, with the bonfire lit at 7pm and the musical firework display getting underway at 7.30pm.

There will be refreshments on offer, as well as sparklers and access to the indoor play-barns for the kids.


Tewkesbury Firework Display, Saturday 2nd November
Gates open for this free display at The Vineyards Field at 6.15pm, with the bonfire lit at 6.30pm and the fireworks starting at 7pm.

Hosted by Tewkesbury Rotary Club, there will be plenty of refreshments and children’s amusements.


Fireworks and Bonfire Night, Friday 8th November
The annual fireworks display at Bishop’s Cleeve Primary Academy begins this year at 6.15pm.

There will be refreshments along with the bonfire and fireworks display, with money raised going to the school.
