The Stroud Book Festival has announced events with Prue Leith and Oz Clarke on the afternoon of 11th November, providing a fabulous foodie finale to the 2018 Festival.
Restaurateur, chef, businesswoman, novelist, founder of the world-famous Leith’s Cookery Schools, and most recently, judge on TV’s much-loved Great British Bake-Off, Prue Leith, will be in conversation with Stroud Book Festival Artistic Director, Caroline Sanderson about ‘Prue: My All-Time Favourite Recipes’, her first cookbook for 25 years.
Then, world-renowned wine expert Oz Clarke will feature at an event set to educate and elevate the taste buds of audience members. In conversation with Stroud Book Festival Book Director, Paul McLaughlin, Oz will discuss his new book, ‘Red & White: An Unquenchable Thirst for Wine’, in which he combines autobiography with a guide to the wines he loves best today and why.
Stroud Book Festival’s Artistic Director Caroline Sanderson said: “I couldn’t be more delighted that the finale to this year’s Book Festival will be such a tasteful one! We much look forward to welcoming both Prue and Oz for a showstopping afternoon no foodie will want to miss.”
Louise Brice, Head of Marketing for the event, says the Stroud Book Festival will be a real celebration of local and national authors. She said: “We’re very pleased with the line-up for this year’s festival. There’s a great mix of established authors but we’ll also be featuring local up-and-coming authors as well. The festival is a great celebration of talent, both here in Gloucestershire and further afield. There’s a big pool of literary talent in the local area and we’re pleased to be featuring several local authors.”
The five-day Festival will be held at venues across Stroud from 7th until 11th November 2018.Copyright © 2024 The Local Answer Limited.
