Cheltenham Tigers in line to host Cheltenham and District Combination's cup finals day

This season’s Cheltenham and District Combination cup finals day is set to be hosted by Cheltenham Tigers, although no final decision has been made about the venue.

The Combination’s competitions secretary Mark Spreadbury said that the finals day will take place on either on Saturday 29th April or two weeks later on Saturday 13th May.

It is expected that there will again be three competitions – a Senior Cup, Junior Cup and Minor Shield – the draws for which will be made at the Combination committee’s next monthly meeting on Wednesday 1st March.

Spreadbury added that every player who plays in this season’s competitions must be registered by their club.

Last season’s finals day was hosted by Cheltenham North, a day which saw Stow-on-the-Wold win the Senior Cup for the first for some 30 years. Cheltenham Tigers 2nds won the Junior Cup and their 3rds won the Minor Shield.
