But while the players have deservedly had a couple of weeks off, there’s still been plenty going on at the rejuvenated club.
That’s because players, volunteers and supporters were out and about over the new year saying ‘thank you’ to the wonderful staff at Cheltenham General Hospital Emergency Department
“We at Cheltenham North Rugby Club recognise the amazing work that all the wonderful staff at Cheltenham General Hospital Emergency Department do to support the local community and would like to say a special thank you this year,” said a club spokesman.
“The club, supported by local company Cellar Supplies, delivered some new year gifts for the staff at the hospital emergency department in recognition of the help and support that they have given to the Cheltenham North players of all ages during the rugby season to date.”
Nick Jones, chairman of Cheltenham North, added: “While rugby is a game of skill and athleticism, it is also a very physical sport and Cheltenham North Rugby Club would like to thank the local hospital staff who have looked after our players so exceptionally when they have needed attention.”Copyright © 2024 The Local Answer Limited.
