The fixtures for the 2018-19 Gallagher Premiership season were announced today with Gloucester kicking off at home to Northampton Saints before playing two West Country derbies in a row.
Gloucester will take on the Saints at Kingsholm on Saturday 1st September before summer signing Matt Banahan will return to the Rec for the first time as the Cherry and Whites travel to Bath.
Week three sees Gloucester entertain last season’s IPA Greene King Championship winners, Bristol Bears, who could well feature a number of players coming up against their former team-mates, notably John Afoa who moved to Ashton Gate this summer.
The first phase of Gallagher Premiership rugby action will then conclude with a trip to Saracens, a home fixture against Harlequins and an away game at Wasps before the fixture calendar turns to the Heineken Champions Cup and the Premiership Rugby Cup.
Other notable games see Sale Sharks come to Kingsholm over the festive period, while Gloucester entertain Bath on the weekend of Saturday 13th April (kick-off date and time to be confirmed).
Television picks have been made by BT Sport up to and including round nine, with three Gloucester Rugby home matches selected for broadcast as follows:
Round 1 – Saturday 1st September – 2pm – v Northampton Saints
Round 3 – Friday 14th September – 7:45pm – v Bristol Bears
Round 7 – Friday 16th November – 7:45pm – v Leicester Tigers
