North Nibley, who won the County Minor Cup in 2017, are through to the last four in this season’s competitionThis year’s Gloucestershire Junior Cup will be won by a team from the Stroud League.
It’s semi-finals day in the county cup competition tomorrow and all four teams left in the highest ranked competition are from the Stroud League.
Division One pacesetters Kings Stanley host Hardwicke Reserves in one tie while Randwick entertain Tetbury Town in the other.
Teams from the Cheltenham League, North Gloucestershire League and Cirencester League also play in the county cup competitions.
In the Intermediate Cup, Ramblers host Upton St Leonards Reserves, meaning that the Stroud League are guaranteed a representative in the final.
There's a great rivalry between the two teams and it should be a cracker of a match. The winners will play the victors of the other semi-final between Fratellos and Whitecroft Reserves.
In the Gloucestershire Minor Cup, the two Stroud League teams still in the competition – Charfield Reserves and North Nibley – were kept apart.
Division Four leaders Charfield Reserves take on Cirencester League side Poulton while North Nibley, who are top of Division Five, travel to play Cheltenham League side Smiths Athletics Reserves.
In the Gloucestershire Primary Cup, Tuffley Rovers 5ths face a huge task against Cirencester League runaway leaders Chesterton, who despite being in their first season, contain a number of higher standard players from the Wiltshire Senior League.
Tuffley's Division Six team have home advantage at Beaufort School and will hope that they play to their full potential and catch Chesterton on an off day.
The winners will play Blakeney Reserves or Cheltenham United in the final.
