It’s been a busy time for new Cheltenham Football League fixture secretary Ian Nelder-Morgan

The Cheltenham League has seen a number of games postponed over the past couple of weeks. This game between Cheltenham United and Southside Star Reserves was one of the few to survive a couple of weeks ago.The heavy rain of the past couple of weeks has caused havoc with the fixture list and the Cheltenham League is again playing catch-up this weekend.
A number of games have had to be rearranged as previously postponed County Cup matches take precedence and it means that there are just two Cheltenham League Division One games on Saturday and two in Division Two.
Ben Hill, the league’s results secretary and media interaction officer, said: “I think it must be a nightmare for Ian (Nelder-Morgan), our fixture secretary, who only started the job this season,” adding with a laugh, “at this rate we will playing games until June 2020!”
There are three games scehduled in Division Three of the Cheltenham League on Saturday but at least there are six matches scheduled in Division Four, one of which sees AFC Cheltenham host Winchcombe Town Reserves.
Both teams boast 100 per cent winning records in the league so something has to give at King George V playing fields.
