Frampton United and Stonehouse Town consolidated their positions in second and third in the County League respectively with impressive wins.
While Frampton were winning 3-0 at Southmead CS Athletic, Stonehouse were enjoying a 2-0 success at home to Hanham Athletic.
Stonehouse were ahead after 14 minutes when Tim Williams sent Chris Earle clear and as he approached the Hanham goal he spotted Luke Soule completely unmarked and slipped the ball across for the striker to tap home.
Hanham almost levelled midway through the half but Jamie Fry’s shot was cleared off the line by Callum Hook.
The home side scored again in the 43rd minute and this time Liam Walsh sent Earle clear and again he spotted Luke Soule in a better position and crossed for him to knock the ball home.
There were very few chances in the second period although two minutes from the end Soule missed a great chance to complete his hat-trick after Tim Williams had put him clear.
Frampton were ahead on five minutes after a shot from distance struck the bar and rebounded to Manolo Espada who fired home from 12 yards.
The home side were reduced to 10 men in the 70th minute when John Henson saw red and five minutes later Ryan Vincent made it 2-0 when he netted from the edge of the box. Vincent added his second in the last minute after he latched onto a loose ball.
