St Paul’s United hoping to close the gap on Cheltenham League Division Two leaders Smiths Barometrics Athletic Reserves

St Paul’s United hosted Smiths Barometrics Athletic Reserves in the Cheltenham League on Saturday.
The Division Two leaders head to the third-placed club knowing that victory would open a big gap between themselves and one of their main rivals.
The gap is already sizable – 10 points – but St Paul’s have played two games fewer and a win for them would throw them right back into the title mix.
Second-placed Prestbury Rovers Reserves, meanwhile, could go a point clear at the top if they win at Welland Reserves and Smiths Barometrics come unstuck at St Paul’s.
Division One leaders Tewkesbury Town head for bottom-of-the-table Newton after being without a game last week while Whaddon United hope to bounce back from their first defeat of the league campaign when they travel to AFC Renegades.
Third-placed Prestbury Rovers, who ended Whaddon’s unbeaten run, host Southside Star.
FC Lakeside Reserves look to make it eight wins on the bounce in Division Three when they entertain Southside Star Reserves, while league leaders Smiths Barometrics Athletic 3rds head to 303 Squadron.
Kempsey Corinthians put their unblemished record – six wins out of six - on the line in Division Four when they host leaders Tewkesbury Athletic. Defeat for the long-time pacesetters could see them lose top spot to AFC Cheltenham, who have won eight out of eight and host Fintan Reserves on Saturday.
