Smiths Athletic Reserves’ reward for their excellent 5-1 Gloucestershire Minor North Cup quarter-final win at Painswick on Saturday is a home semi-final tie.
The Cheltenham League Division Three side have been drawn against North Nibley, leaders in Division Five of the Stroud League, at Tewkesbury School on Saturday 2nd March.
Shaun Green scored a hat-trick in Smiths’ win over Painswick and there was a goal apiece for Ryan Harper and Ben Locke. Painswick play in the same division as North Nibley, trailing them by two places and 10 points.
North Nibley booked their place in the last four with a 4-0 win over Dowty Dynamos Reserves.
Cheltenham United, meanwhile, must travel to Blakeney Reserves for their semi-final in the Gloucestershire Primary North Cup.
Cheltenham United defeated Cam Bulldog 3rds 6-0 to earn a place in the last four while Blakeney, who are riding high in Division Three of the North Gloucestershire League, went one better against Pittville United Reserves, winning 7-0.
That tie also takes place on 2nd March.Copyright © 2024 The Local Answer Limited.
