Forest Green Rovers head to Bishop’s Cleeve for pre-season opener

The tennis at Wimbledon and the Cheltenham Cricket Festival will still be in full swing when Football League new boys Forest Green Rovers kick off their pre-season campaign.
Mark Cooper’s side have a friendly at Bishop’s Cleeve on Tuesday 11th July – the first of nine such games before their history-making League Two opener against Barnet at The New Lawn on Saturday 5th August.
Only two of the friendlies are at home – against Bristol Rovers on Saturday 22nd July and Kidderminster Harriers a week later.
The match against SC Farense on Tuesday 25th July is part of the club’s training camp in Portugal which takes place from Sunday 23rd July to Thursday 27th July. The match is at the Estadio Municipal de Albufeira.
The game against Worthing on Monday 2nd August is part of the transfer deal that saw Forest Green sign Omar Bugiel in February.

Friday 14th July – Shortwood United (7.30pm)
Saturday 15th July – Brimscombe & Thrupp (3pm)
Tuesday 18th July – Weston-Super-Mare (7.45pm)
Saturday 22nd July – Bristol Rovers (3pm)
Tuesday 25th July – SC Farense (7pm)
Saturday 29th July – Kidderminster Harriers (3pm)
Monday 31st July – Swindon Supermarine (7.30pm)
