A spectacular ball to raise money to fight breast cancer will take place on Saturday 26th October at the Pittville Pump Rooms.

Attendees will enjoy an evening of dinner, dancing, live auction and fun and well as a chance to don their best finery.

The black tie event is the brainchild of breast cancer survivor Sarah Cook and aims to celebrate those who have overcome the disease as well as remember those who have lost their battle, whilst raising funds to save lives in Gloucestershire.

“Upon my diagnosis of breast cancer I took a long hard look at my life,” said Sarah. “I had overcome so many hurdles including a marriage breakdown, cancer was the last straw.

“I wasn’t about to give up without a fight though. I quit my job to launch my own business and now I want to help others.”

Money raised from the ball will go to local medical imaging charity Cobalt and FOCUS, the charitable fund for the Gloucestershire Oncology Centre, which both supported Sarah throughout her diagnosis and treatment for breast cancer.

Tickets are £75 for individuals and £750 for tables of 10. Dress is black tie – with an optional splash of pink.

The evening will start with a drinks reception at 7.00pm and a pink ribbon cutting by Alex Chalk, MP Cheltenham, followed by a three course dinner, live auction and band. A DJ will round off the evening with carriages at 1.00am.

Sarah added: “The ball will be a fun filled evening and an opportunity to glam up and enjoy some fabulous entertainment.

“We have some amazing auction lots including tickets to Wimbledon, music memorabilia, and a weekend away for two.”
