Chocolate Easter Squares

Ingredients:
6 Mars bars
170g (6oz) unsalted butter
Approximately 100g (3.5oz) rice crispies
200g (7oz) plain chocolate
200g (7oz) milk chocolate
Mini eggs to decorate

Method:
1. Melt Mars bars and butter in the microwave until runny – you may have to stir the mixture for a few minutes if it curdles. Alternatively, if you don’t own a microwave, cut the Mars bars and butter into small pieces, place in a glass bowl and melt over a pan of boiling water (approximately an inch of water).

2. Stir in as many rice crispies as you can – 100g should be enough. If you don’t like rice crispies, why not swap them for corn flakes.

3. Line a 7” x 11” tin with greaseproof paper and press the mixture into the tin.

4. Break the plain and milk chocolate into a glass bowl and melt over a pan of boiling water. Leave to cool for 10 minutes.

5. Pour the chocolate over the rice crispies mixture and spread evenly. Leave for another few minutes and then decorate with mini eggs. Put in the fridge to set and cut into pieces when ready to serve.
