The launch of a new independent coffee shop in Gloucester has been described as momentous.

Forum Coffee, which launched this month, has been years in the making.

Sitting next to community workspace Patch and opposite newly-opened Hotel Indigo, it has transformed the airy ground floor at The Forum.

Co-Director of Forum Coffee, Elliott Paterson, said: "Finally getting the doors open to Forum Coffee feels like a momentous achievement.

"It has been a long journey to get to this point and seeing customers enjoying all that we have built makes it so worthwhile.

"We still have so much more we would like to introduce to the space, including a meet-the-roaster event, as well as some roast demonstrations in our roaster's corner.

"We are so pleased with the excitement and enthusiasm we have been met with, and can only hope word travels quickly so more people can enjoy the fruits of all our hard work."

A full brunch and lunch menu is being crafted, with toasties, cakes, pastries and smoothie bowls being served in the meantime.

Coffee is sourced from Ethical Addictions, based in Staverton, which specialises in farm direct coffee.
