With the arrival of autumn comes the return of Strictly Come Dancing, with 15 new celebrities taking to the dancefloor to try and win the famous glitterball trophy.
The new batch of dancers last week found out which professional partners they will be with for the duration of the series, which gets underway with week one this Saturday.
But if you’ve always wanted to see the dancing up close a new show may be for you.
Former Strictly professionals Ian Waite and Vincent Simone have been touring their show, ‘The Ballroom Boys’ throughout the year and have just announced a second run of performances for the new year.
‘The Ballroom Boys – Act Two’ will be at the Bacon Theatre on Saturday 20th June 2020, and will feature the pair performing dance, comedy and song, in the style of an old-fashioned variety show.
Ian says of the new show “Myself and Vince joined up for the 2019 tour because we wanted to do something completely different to all the other Strictly tours.
“We never imagined that it would be so popular, the audiences loved it, which is amazing! So we thought, why not do it again?”
Both Ian and Vincent are former Strictly finalists, and both are still involved in the show – Ian is a regular on It Takes Two with his ‘Waite’s Warm-Up’ section and Vincent choreographs the Argentine Tango routines that are seen on the main show.
They begin their 2020 tour in March, with the Cheltenham show their penultimate performance.
