Acclaimed actor and director Nickolas Grace will be visiting Cheltenham next month for a special event celebrating his life and work.
Having worked on stage, screen and radio for over 50 years, Cheshire-born Grace is best-known for his TV work, starring in acclaimed ITV series ‘Brideshead Revisited’ and ‘Robin of Sherwood’.
He said: “To have a Day of Grace is so flattering.
“Never in my wildest dreams had I envisaged anyone devoting a whole day to me and my career. So it will be a wild dream!”
‘A Day of Grace’ will feature on-stage interviews, clips from his career, a special workshop session and more.
There will also be a screening of one of Grace’s favourite films – the filmed-for-screen version of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of ‘The Comedy of Errors’ starring Dame Judi Dench, Michael Williams, alongside Grace himself.
This will be preceded by a half hour Q&A, hosted by Cheltenham Playhouse theatre manager Paul Scott and The Offstage Theatre Group’s Barnaby Eaton-Jones.
“I’ll try to cover all the highs and lows of my career, and not cut out the naughty bits!” added Grace.
“So prepare for shock, horror and outrageous moments.”
‘A Day of Grace’ will be at the Cheltenham Playhouse on Saturday 22nd February from 10:30am to 4:30pm.
