Broadstone Festival announces final headliner for inaugural year

A new music festival will be coming to the Forest of Dean this summer.
Based on the Welsh border between Monmouth and Coleford, Broadstone Festival will feature some of the most highly-anticipated emerging bands from the local area and across the UK.
The festival is being organised by Forest locals Josh Baynham, Freya Eklof, Jonathan Powell, Steve Brown and Tom Gibbons.
The festival is unique in that the music all takes place in Wales, whilst the campsite is in England – but only a one minute walk away.
“The line-up predominantly consists of guitar based bands and artists,” said Tom.
“As avid gig goers we have seen most of the acts live previously, so we can guarantee they put on a good show!
“There are some great local acts like Mirages, Elessar, as well as some of the best regional bands in the South West and South Wales like Pompadour, Sapphire Blues, WYNT and Tom Jenkins that deserve far more attention.”
Tom and the team have also landed some pretty big headliners, with Liverpool-based band The Mysterines set to play the Friday and Cardiff band Himalayas today announced for the Saturday top spot.
Broadstone Festival runs on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th June, and Tom is convinced all the hard work going in during the build-up to the summer will make the weekend a success.
He added: “It all started as a little bit of fun, then as initial plans developed the competitive side within us has worked to make everything the best it possibly can be and the support we’ve received from everyone to date is outstanding.
“We’re working in association with ‘This Feeling’ which began as a speculative email, but now we are working alongside and receiving support from one of the UK’s biggest Indie Club promoters!
“But yeah, it’s a 24/7 commitment on top of all our day jobs but we’ve loved the experience and are already getting ahead of ourselves and planning for Broadstone Festival 2021.”
