Over the last 16 years Wychwood Festival has become one of the go-to music festivals in Cheltenham.

Based at Cheltenham Racecourse, the festival prides itself on being a family-focused gathering, hosting workshops with organisations like Aardman Animations alongside the music.

This year Wychwood runs from Friday 29th to Sunday 31st May, and today organisers have announced their first headliner – The Divine Comedy.

Fronted by Neil Hannon, The Divine Comedy rose to fame during the Brit Pop era and are best known for their ironic take on pop music and hits like ‘National Express’ and ‘Something For The Weekend’.

Also announced are The Christians, reggae band Dreadzone and returning favourites Craig Charles, Merry Hell, Thrill Collins and Basil Brush.

The Divine Comedy will headline the Saturday night, with further announcements in the coming months.
