Cornbury Festival has established itself as one of the biggest music festivals in the Cotswolds.

And this year looks set to be no different as the festival kicks off its headliner announcements with iconic singer-songwriters Van Morrison and Dido.

The pair will be a double bill on the first day of the festival, which runs from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th July.

“We’re very excited to be announcing two huge stars from the beginning,” said founder and promoter Hugh Phillimore.

“Van’s my desert island artist – and it’s a huge privilege for Cornbury to be one of Dido’s few summer appearances.”

The festival, which began in 2004, has hosted some huge names over the years, including Paul Simon, Robert Plant, Amy Winehouse, Bryan Adams and Blondie.

Last year saw The Beach Boys, Keane and The Specials all headline, but fans will have to wait and see who else is in store for the 2020 edition.

Hugh added: “This year we’re doing things a bit differently keeping a few surprises up our sleeve by announcing our other artists one day at a time over the next few months.”
