The 2020 Cheltenham Jazz Festival runs over the May Bank Holiday Weekend

The Cheltenham Jazz Festival is looking for performers to take part in the 2020 Cheltenham Jazz Festival Around Town programme.

All are welcome to apply, from acoustic singer-songwriters to full blown big bands or dancers, artists or street performers, with a range of opportunities available from pop up performances in the town centre, to free stages on the festival site.

The 2020 festival runs from 5th to 10th May, coinciding with the May Bank Holiday weekend.

Last year saw over 100 performances in six days over three outdoor stages and eleven pubs and restaurants.

The free Around Town programme attracted in excess of 22,000 people, and Festivals Director Ian George says it is an immensely popular part of the Jazz Festival.

He said: “Participating in the Around Town programme is a great way to get yourself noticed – jazz artists, agents and promoters are around morning and night taking in the jazz vibe over the Festival period.”

The Jazz Festival will pay a fixed contribution to expenses of £160 and acts will be listed in the Around Town flyer, the Cheltenham Festivals website and on the Festival app.

The deadline for applications to take part is Monday 3rd February.
