Top class musical talent on show at the Underground Festival

Some of the best up-and-coming musical talent will be on show at the Gloucester Guildhall this weekendThe Guildhall in Gloucester will be hosting an array of up-and-coming bands at this year’s Underground Festival.
The three-day event, which gets underway on Friday 29th September, is a celebration of progressive musical talent tipped for the big time.
The festival has welcomed huge acts like Bastille and George Ezra in recent years and this year’s list of performers looks certain to please music lovers, particularly those with a passion for rock and indie music.
Mallory Knox are headlining on Friday evening, fresh from their recent festival performances this summer at Reading, Leeds and Download. It will be a welcome return to Gloucester for the four-piece band who are tipped to achieve even greater success in the coming few years.
Rising indie star Darwin Deez will be performing on Saturday. The New York-based musician is currently over in Europe on tour and will be bringing his music to Gloucester for the first time. His new album – ‘10 Songs That Happened When You Left Me With My Stupid Heart’ – has received glowing reviews so anyone lucky enough to see him perform on Saturday is in for a treat.
Only the Poets – another exciting band destined for the top – will be performing on the main stage on Saturday. The four-piece rock band were BBC Music Introducing’s track of the week last week and look set to break into the big time any time now.
Black Peaks are another band tipped for great things and they will be playing at the Guildhall on Sunday. The four-piece band are set to release their new album in early October, so their gig looks one not to miss.
Other bands booked to perform over the weekend include Liverpool-based heavy metal band Loathe and four-piece band Bloody Knees who are releasing a new album on 5th October.Copyright © 2024 The Local Answer Limited.
