The Stroud Book Festival has announced that bestselling children’s author Julia Donaldson will be appearing at the Stroud Book Festival 2019, for a very special family event on the morning of Saturday 9th November.
Former Children’s Laureate Julia Donaldson’s extraordinary canon of work, which includes ‘The Gruffalo’, ‘Stick Man’, ‘Room on the Broom’ and ‘Zog’ has catapulted her to the very top of the bestseller charts, with over 17 million copies of her work published worldwide.
Stroud Book Festival’s Children’s Artistic Director Jane Churchill said: “I have worked with Julia since the early days of her career and I couldn’t be more thrilled that we have the chance to welcome her to Stroud this year for what promises to be a truly fantastic event.”
This year’s Stroud Book Festival will be held from Wednesday 6th to Sunday 10th November in venues around Stroud, with the full Festival line-up to be revealed in the coming months.
Last year saw a number of famous faces appearing at the festival, including Mary Portas, Prue Leith and Oz Clarke.
